Woman shot dead by motorcyclists

HERAT CITY (PAN): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a woman in the Guzra district of western Herat province on Thursday morning, an official said.

The 30-year-old was gunned down by hooded motorcyclists on her way from her home in Guzra to Herat City, the provincial deputy police chief said.

Brig. Gen. Abdul Hameed Hameedi told Pajhwok Afghan News motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained, but initial information suggested the woman was going to meet her husband in jail.
