ASADABAD (PAN): Two civilians were killed during a bomb blast in the Sarkano district of eastern Kunar province on Friday, an official said.
The explosion took place when worshippers were coming out of a mosque in the town, Governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He added that one member of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) was wounded in the blast. The governor blamed the attack on the “enemies of Islam and peace”.
On Thursday, Afghan intelligence agents detonated three rocket-propelled grenades installed for explosion near a mosque in Ghazni City.
While denouncing the incident, Wahidi sympathized with the victims’ families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the policeman.
