MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN): Forty-one Afghan National Police (ANP) members were awarded certificates on completing an eight-week training programme in central Maidan Wardak province on Friday.

At the graduation ceremony, Deputy Governor Zakir Husain Sultani thanked the Turkish Provincial Reconstruction) for arranging the training course.

He appreciated Turkey’s cooperation with the central province in various sectors, saying the Kabul-Ankara relationship had significantly improved. Sultani exuded confidence that the PRT would continue to assist the province.

For his part, PRT Civilian Coordinator Muzaffer Yuksel pledged continued cooperation with the Afghan government, especially Maidan Wardak. He also spoke about the historical bonds between the two nations.

Provincial police chief, Sardar Mohammad Zazai, urged the graduates — the 38th batch to be trained by the PRT — to spare no efforts in serving their country and people.
