KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): Afghan military officials on Tuesday confiscated 65 sacks full of explosives and narcotics during an operation in the Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province.
One suspect was detained during the raid that came in Nokak area, the 205th Atal Military Corps said in a statement.
It said the seizure that belonged to the rebels included nearly 3,250 kilograms of hashish, 36 landmines and three artillery shells.
The statement also said 3,400 bullets of machinegun and 10 landmines had been captured in the Dehrawod district of central Uruzgan province.
