KABUL (PAN): The new academic year in cold parts of the country would begin on March 6, the Ministry of Education said on Tuesday.

Fresh classes at high and primary schools in the cold regions would start on March 6, 2013, a statement from the ministry said.

Examination would commence on Feb. 23 and continue for 10 days, the statement added. Last year, high school classes in cold regions had started on March 5 and primary schools reopened on March 21.
