ASADABAD (PAN): One Afghan National Police (ANP) official was killed and two others were wounded in a roadside bombing in the Barikot district of eastern Kunar province on Wednesday, an official said.
The incident took place in the Dokalam area of the town, where a police vehicle struck the roadside bomb, local police official, Mohammad Ayub Hassankhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The injured were evacuated to hospital, he said, adding they were in stable condition.
A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed responsibility for the blast, saying five policemen had been killed.
