German special envoy calls on president

KABUL, called on President Hamid Karzai at the Presidential Palace here on Monday.

Among other issues, the ongoing peace process and cooperation between Afghanistan and Germany in various spheres came up for discussion, a statement from Karzai’s office said.

While hailing Germany as Afghanistan’s longtime friend, Karzai emphasised on enhanced cooperation in different fields between the two countries.
