KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday urged Britain to continue training Afghan police and cooperate with his administration in the fight against narcotics.
During a meeting with British Home Secretary Theresa May, Karzai lauded UK’s assistance to his country in different sector. The president hoped Britain would continue to aid Afghanistan.
On her first trip to Kabul, May discussed with the president her meeting with Interior Minister Mujtaba Patang and efforts at strengthening counternarcotics police, a statement from Karzai’s office said.
