Taliban’s shadow district chief capture

 HERAT CITY (PAN’s shadow chief for Gulran district was arrested in western Herat province on Tuesday, an official said

Abdul Khaliq Baloch was captured by Kashk Kohna district police, said Col. Noor Khan Nekzad, the western zone police spokesman.

The militant leader had been conducting insurgent activities, he said, adding search operations were in progress in Kashk Kohna, Kashk, Rabat Sangi and Gulran districts.

 In a separate incident, a man was detained Ghoryan district on the charge of kidnapping three Iranian citizens in Zinda Jan town, the police spokesman said.
