Group suicide attack foiled in Kabul, 5 killed: NDS
KABUL (PAN): Five suicide attackers were killed and two others were captured alive during a clash with intelligence operatives in the jurisdiction of 16th police district in Kabul on Wednesday evening, the spy service said.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement that security officials, who had prior information on the Haqqani network-linked militants, chased the suspects into the Alokhel area, where they were shot dead before reaching their targets.
It said NDS personnel took into custody the surviving two bombers and recovered from them" a lot of weapons, ammunition and explosive devices", adding the target was government offices.
The department said more details would follow soon, pending to an investigation.
