5 militiamen beheaded in Badghis

 HERAT (PAN): Five members of a local militia have been beheaded in the Muqar district of northwestern Badghis province, a security official said on Thursday.

The incident took place in the Dara Boom area of the district on Wednesday night, the official told Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity.

A delegation had been sent to investigate the killings, he said, without giving further details. He believed the killings were the handiwork of a militant who had infiltrated into the local militia ranks.
