Pakistani senate team due in Kabul on Monday

 KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Pakistani and Afghan lawmakers would meet in Kabul Monday to discuss the overall security environmentinfo-icon in the region, parliamentarians from both sides said on Saturday.

Members of the Pakistaninfo-icon Senate’s Defence Commission will discuss with their Afghan counterparts the situation after the 2014 withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistaninfo-icon

Mohammad Amin Sapi, the Meshrano Jirgainfo-icon Defence Commission chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the discussions would last two days.

Pakistani Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, who heads the panel, told reporters in Islamabad that the meeting would take place in Kabul on Monday. The interaction would go a long way in bringing the neighbors closer, he hoped.
