KABUL): Four prisoners who fled the central jail in northern Baghlan province have been recaptured in Kabul, officials claimed on Saturday.
The inmates who fled on March.20 were re-arrested at Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital with the cooperation of Baghlan detectives, the prison chief, Brig. Gen. Afandi Rabati, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
One of the men, shot injured in police fire, was subsequently hospitalised in Kabul, where was nabbed, Gen. Rabati said.
Meanwhile, the Kabul police crime branch chief, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Zahir, confirmed the injured prisoner was detained in hospital. Three of his associates were arrested based on the information obtained from him.
