MAIMANA/SHIBERGHAN (PAN Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) was killed along with a trader in a road accident in northern Faryab province, while a woman police officer was shot dead by her brother in Jawzjan, officials said on Saturday.

ACCI’s Andkhoi district chief, Mohammad Azim Masgar and carpet trader Sultan Daai were killed at 8:30am when their vehicle turned turtle, the administrative head of the town, Sultan Sanjar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Separately, a female police officer was killed by his border on Saturday night when she was having dinner in her house in Shiberghan, the capital of northern Jawzjan, said the police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Aziz Ghairat.

The reason behind the murder was a land inheritance dispute, with the victim’s brothers unwilling to give Gul Pari her due share, he added. The killer managed to flee, but police are searching for him.
