Kunduz tribal affairs deptt. gets new structure
The double-story building has 20 rooms, two halls and other allied facilities, said the department director Qazi Abdul Nasir Yousufi.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News the structure cost more than 11 million afghanis provided from the ministry's budget and took a year to complete. The building has two conference rooms accommodating 400 individuals. The halls have been built to facilitate meetings of tribal elders, the director said.
Elsewhere, the foundation stone of a building for the justice department in southeastern Khost was laid on Thursday.
The proposed two-storey building would have 22 rooms, a meeting hall, an archive, a library and other facilities.
Estimated to cost more than 19 million afs, the department director, Qanoon Gul, said the project would be complete by next year. He said employees currently performed duty in a rented house.
