PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Four Afghan workers with international troops were injured after armed motorcyclists opened fire at their vehicle in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, officials said on Wednesday.
The workers came under attack late on Tuesday soon after they left the ISAF military camp called “Shang” for home, deputy police chief, Col. Raees Khan Sadiq, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the gun attack involved two motorcyclists, who managed to escape. The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment, he added
A doctor in Pul-i-Alam, Samiullah, said two of the four injured had been shifted to the Emergency Hospital in Kabul as they were in critical condition.
Eyewitness Karimullah said the driver lost control and the vehicle slammed into the wall of a garden as a result of the attack. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
