KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): The police chief for southern Kandahar province escaped unhurt in a bomb attack on Friday, the governor’s spokesman said.
Javed Faisal told Pajhwok Afghan News Brig. Gen. Abdul Raziq was attacked with a remotely-controlled bomb on his way from Maiwand district to Kandahar City.
Gen. Raziq had gone to Maiwand to investigate a bus-fuel tanker collision that left 45 people dead and 10 others wounded.
