KABUL under-19 thrashed Hong Kong in the ACC Under-19 Elite Cup in Malaysia on Tuesday, an official said.
Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News Hong Kong, batting first after winning the toss, were restricted to 90 runs in the 48th over.
For the Afghani side, Zahir Shahzad bowled well, grabbing four wickets, with Nasir Ahmadzai and Muslim Murad capturing two each, Hotak said.
Afghanistan raced to victory in the in 21st over for the loss of only two batsmen, according to Hotak, who said Abdul Rahman Mangal scored 35 runs and Shahidullah 42.
In their previous Group-A matches, Afghanistan downed Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Thailand. They may take on Malaysia in the semi-final of the 10-nation contest.
