SHARAN (PAN): One militant has been killed and three others have been captured alive by security personnel in southeastern Paktika province, the governor’s office said on Friday.
Border police shot dead a fighter in Shakin district late on Thursday, a statement from the governor’s house said. Area residents and police suffered no harm in the clash.
Backed by intelligence agents, members of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) force detained three insurgents in the Khairkot district of the province, the statement added.
