KABUL border on Friday.

Attached to a motorbike, the remote-controlled device went off in the Khwaja Jan bazaar of Miranshah, DawnNews reported. The injured were evacuated to the Agency Headquarters Hospital. Security forces reached the site and cordoned off the area.

Also on Friday, five people were wounded and several vehicles damaged in a bomb attack on an election office of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in southwestern Balochistan province.

The explosion on the Barori road in Quetta, the provincial capital, came a day ahead of the parliamentary election, according to Geo News. Police took the injured to hospital and started investigations.

More than 110 people have lost their lives to violence in what is billed the bloodiest election campaign in the nuclear-capable country. Most of the attacks have been claimed by the proscribed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
