HERAT CITY (PAN): Five passengers were killed and 16 others injured when a passenger coach veered off the road in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.
The incident took place on the Herat-Rabat Sangi road on Saturday evening, the governor’s spokesman, Mohiuddin Noori, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
One woman and a child were among the dead, he said, adding the injured were evacuated to the main provincial hospital.
A doctor on duty, whishing anonymity, said they had received 16 injured, with four of them in critical condition.
