KUNDUZ CITY (PAN.

Zakhilwal, who arrived in northern Kunduz province, told a ceremony at the Sher Khan dry port he would be visiting Tajikistan in the near future to discuss with Tajik leaders the mega projects.

He said an agreement had already reached with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in India on the railroad project that would connect Tajikistan and Turkmenistan through Kunduz and Balkh provinces.

Zakhiwal said power pylons would be erected to import 1,300 megawatts of electricity to Kabul from Tajikistan through the Sher Khan port. The electricity would be later extended to Pakistan, he said.

The minister also said a joint trade market with Tajik traders would be established where industrial products of both countries would be showcased without paying any taxes.
