MAHMOOD RAQI (PAN): The dead body of a radio journalist was retrieved from a water well in his home in the Najrab district of central Kapisa province, officials said on Tuesday.

Mohammad Muhsin Hashmi, who worked for the Voice of Najrab Radio, fell into the well after being shot killed in what appeared to be a family dispute, the town’s administrative head, Abdul Wadood Haidari, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said three family members of the slain journalist had been arrested for interrogation.

The radio station chief, Abdul Mutalib, said Hashmi, who worked on the technical side, was producer of  “Marwareed-i-Honar”,  a literary programme, but he hadn’t come to the station for the last 18 days. He said family members of Hashimi were refusing to comment on his death.
