“We welcome efforts by Afghanistan’s neighbours and other regional actors to promote Afghanistan’s stability and economic development,” the State Department spokesperson, Patrick Ventrell, told reporters at his daily news conference on Monday.
“We continue to welcome India’s generous bilateral assistance program with Afghanistan, its leadership on private sector investment there, its leadership promoting regional economic integration and linkage,” he said
“I don’t have anything for you on a military relationship,” Ventrell said when asked on the India visit of Karzai during which according to local media reports is expected to seek military supplies for its armed forces.
