KABUL after evaluating available opportunities, the Presidential Palace said on Monday.
Led by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasim Althani, the Qatari delegation met with President Hamid Karzai and some ministers and discussed with them matters of mutual interest, a statement issued from the president’s office said.
Speaking on the occasion, Karzai said the visit would help further cement brotherly relations between the two countries.
Finance Minister Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal, Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul and some Afghan businessmen were also present on the occasion. At the meeting, opportunities of investment for the Qatari businessmen in Afghanistan were discussed.
The delegation showed its readiness to invest in Afghanistan’s banking, housing, energy and technology, agriculture sectors.
