36 militants killed in operations: ANA

KABUL): Thirty-six insurgents have been killed during separate operations by Afghan forces in southern Ghazni and central Maidan Wardak provinces, the Afghan army said on Friday.

Twenty of the fighters were killed during operations by the third brigade of the 203rd Thunder Military Corps in Ajristan and Andar districts of Ghazni, a statement from the corps said.

A large quantity of weapons was recovered by troops, the statement added. Sixteen more militants were killed and 18 weapons seized during another operation by the fourth brigade of the corps in the Syedabad district of Maidan Wardak province.
