ISAF supply tanker set alight, driver injured
KABUL (PAN): An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) supply tanker has been torched and its driver wounded in a militant attack in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, a media report said on Saturday.
Two armed militants fired at the tanker's driver before setting the vehicle alight in Mangochar area late on Friday, Dawn quoted an of official of the paramilitary Levies force as saying.
The assailants fled and the driver was evacuated to hospital, the newspaper reported, saying of plumes of thick black smoke rose from the scene.
Security personnel have launched an investigation and cordoned off the site in Balochistan, where the fighters have been targeting NATO supply containers for past few years.
