KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): The Shaheen Club on Tuesday won the Premier Soccer League, beating their rivals in the final played in northern Kunduz province.
Featuring eight clubs from different parts of Kunduz, the tournament began a month ago at the Municipality Stadium in the provincial capital.
The Saroosh Club finished runners-up and the Perozi third, the Football Federation head, Zabihullah Daqiq, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said that they planned to conduct similar events in Kunduz, Takhar, Baghlan and Badakhshan provinces.
“I’m happy over the success of my team in clinching the title,” said Mohammad Arif, a member of the wining team. He called for similar contests in other provinces as well.
