2 transformers inagurated in Kabul
Costing eight million afghanis provided by the Afghanistan Brekhshna Shirkat (ABS), the transformers have a capacity of 800 kilovolt amperes and will benefit residents of Faizabad area.
ABS head Abdul Razzaq Samadi told Pajhwok Afghan News at least 1,000 families would benefit from the project. Families could use the facility after installing engergy metres.
A representative of the area, Haji Aziz, was happy with the inaguration of the project, saying they had requested the transformers two years ago.
According Samadi, more than 80 percent residents of Kabul currenly have access to electricty, a facility that would be made available to all citizens over the next two years.
