Karzai orders help for slain workers’ kin

Karzai issued the directives to Governor Arsala Jamal during a telephone call today, the Presidential Palace said in a brief statement. The president assured the bereaved families of all possible support.

The Taliban stopped a minivan carrying the eight young labourers to a US base near Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, in Khoshi district on Thursday morning. The workers were forced out and shot dead.
