Locals capture militants involved in murder
CHARIKAR (PAN): After detaining two militants in central Parwan province, locals asked the Taliban their colleagues would be released if they surrendered the killers of agriculture department officials.
Some three weeks back, militants killed Najibullah and Amir Gul, the agriculture department officials, in Siah Gird district, Agriculture Director Zalmai Shahid told Pajhwok Afghan News Saturday.
Later, the Taliban claimed responsibility for killing the agriculture department officials. The gory incident sparked protests denouncing the murderers.
Shahid said the locals had captured two Taliban in the Qamchaq locality and vowed they would not free the detainees until the killers were surrendered.
