KABUL): Under the aegis of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG), various sectors, including security organs and the judiciary, held their first technical coordination meeting in Kabul on decisions and pledges held out at a regional conference of governors last week.
IDLG deputy policy and coordination head Dr. Farid Mamunzai said the implementation of the decisions taken at the conference of governors was crucial to improving governance, ensuring parallel development and increasing cooperation and coordination between provinces and the central government.
In a statement he suggested the decisions should be enforced through a presidential order or the High Council of Ministers, a proposal endorsed by participants of the meeting. The Participants reaffirmed their decisions made at the previous gathering and sought an action plan in this regard.
