Waziristan drone strike kills 7 including Arabs
The drone fired two missiles at a compound in the Shinkai Narai village of the Shawal area on Sunday evening, intelligence officials said, adding suspected militants were among the fatalities.
A local administration official, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the dead included foreigners of Arab origin. The air raid came when the suspects were preparing for Iftar, he added.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Office condemned the drone raid and said Pakistan had repeatedly emphasised the importance of bringing an immediate end to the strikes.
A statement from the ministry said unilateral strikes were a violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It maintained that drone strikes were counter-productive, entailed a loss of innocent civilian lives and had human rights and humanitarian implications.
