Laghman police chief conferred bravery medal

JALALABAD (PAN): Laghman police chief Lt. Gen. Fazal Ahmad Sherzad was decorated with the medal of bravery President Karzai has conferred on him in recognition of his services to improve security in the eastern province, an official said on Wednesday.

Sherzad received the medal based on a presidential decree at a ceremony held in this regard in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital, the governor’s spokesman, Sarhadi Zwak, said.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News high government officials attended the ceremony at the police headquarters.

The medal was given to Sherzad for recent achievements the provincial police had made in the province, he said.
