KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) soldiers were killed in eastern Afghanistaninfo-icon on Saturday, the alliance announced.

The troops were killed as a result of a roadside bombing, the NATOinfo-icon-led force said in a brief statement that neither gave the victims' nationalities nor the exact location.

Mostly US troops, who have borne the brunt of insurgent assaults, are stationed in the insurgency-plagued eastern parts of Afghanistan.

With the latest fatalities, the number of foreign troops killed in the country so far during the current year has increased to 117.
