KABUL militants were arrested during separate incidents in southern Helmand province, the spy service said on Tuesday.
The National Directorate of Security in Kabul said in a statement the insurgents were detained during an operation in Nahr-i-Saraj district.
Seven Kalashnikovs, 10 roadside bombs and some explosives were recovered from the detainees involved in militant activities and encouraging people to join them, it said.
The statement added the bomb-rigged motorbike parked in front of a school in Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand, was detected and defused by police.
