Cross-border missile strike claims 2 lives
ASADABAD (PAN): Two worshippers have been killed in a cross-border missile attack on the Dangam district of eastern Kunar province, the police chief said on Wednesday.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Haseeb Syedkhel said one of missiles hit a mosque in the district last night, killing two people. The mosque was also damaged as a result of the missile hit.
Elsewhere in the province, a child was killed and four others were injured by a Taliban-fired mortar shell in Sarkano district. The injured were under medical care at a local hospital, Syedkhel added.
