KABUL projects costing 388 million afghanis in different parts of the country, an official said.
Contracts for the projects were signed between Deputy Minister of Public Works Mohammad Akbar Barakzai and Afghan construction companies.
A spokesman for the ministry, Najibullah Ahadi, told Pajhwok Afghan News 11 road maintenance projects would be implemented in Badakhshan, Herat, Samangan, Laghman and Ghazni provinces.
Three road construction projects would be executed in the Paghman district of Kabul and Dasht-i-Archi and Khanabad districts of Kunduz provinces, he said.
A 260-metre bridge would be constructed in the Arghistan district of Kandahar, a 60-metre bridge on the Helmand River, he said, adding all 16 projects would be executed in a year at a total cost of 388 million afghanis provided by the bank.
