Spinghar district chief injured in roadside blast

JALALABAD (PAN): Two people including a district chief were wounded in a roadside bombing in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Wednesday noon.

Spinghar district’s administrative head Qasim Khan was wounded along with a bodyguard in the blast in an area between Achin and Ghanikhel district.

Achin district chief Syed Rahman Momand told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion occurred near the Basit pump station in the area.

Dr. Gul Rahman, in charge of the Ghanikhel district hospital, confirmed receiving the two injured people. He said both were in stable condition.
