QUETTA/LAHORE (PAN’s Balochistan and Punjab provinces on Thursday, officials said.
The first bomb blast occurred in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Balochistan province bordering Afghanistan, leaving six people dead and 35 others including a child injured.
Mohammad Mohsin, a police official was quoted as saying that the blast took place close to the town’s police station, which damaged the nearby parked vehicles.
Security forces immediately reached the scene after the explosion and cordoned off the area.
The second bomb went off in Lahore, the capital of eastern Punjab, which left one person dead and 14 others injured.
Police said it was a timing explosive device planted at the counter of the restaurant. The injured were shifted to Mayo Hospital with three of them including a woman were said to be in critical condition.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
