Cleric among 5 dead in Kandahar attacks
KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): A cleric and four security officials, including a border police commander, were killed during separate gun and bomb attacks in southern Kandahar province, the Taliban’s birthplace, officials said on Monday.
The governor’s spokesman, Javed Faisal, said Mohammad came under attack in Rangrizan area.
In Takhta Pul district, an border police commander, Sadiqullah, was killed along with three subordinates as a result of a roadside bombing, the district chief said.
In a similar incident in Khanin area of Kandahar City, two intelligence officials were killed late on Sunday.
