NATO soldier dies in south
KABUL (PAN): A NATO soldier died following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday, the alliance said, taking the death toll for international troops this year to 141, including 112 Americans.
The latest fatality took place in the country’s south, according to an ISAF statement, which gave no details about the exact location of the incident and withheld the fallen service member’s nationality.
However, American, British and Australian troops are stationed in the south.
The incident comes two days after an individual in an Afghan security forces uniform shot and killed a NATO soldier in eastern Afghanistan.
Last month, four NATO soldiers were killed by suspects in Afghan security forces uniforms.
