KABUL and Tajikistan are expected to sign agreements concerning demining efforts and border transport facilities between the two neighbours, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.
The ministry spokesman Janan Musazai told a press conference in Kabul President Hamid Karzai, heading a high level delegation, would be leaving for Tajikistan on Monday.
He said the proposed agreements would be signed during Karzai’s official visit to Tajikistan.
He said the president would also discuss with his Tajikistani counterpart Emomali Rahman, issues concerning bilateral relations, regional security and enhanced economic and transit trade ties.
It will be Karzai’s 17th official visit to Dushanbe during his 10 years in office.
