6 fighters eliminated in Gayan airstrike

SHARAN (KABUL) airstrike in southeastern Paktika province on Thursday, a senior police officer said.

Provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Dawlat Khan Zadran, told Pajhwok Afghan News the NATO-led force conducted the air raid on an insurgent hideout in Gayan district at 11am. 

Six guerrillas were killed in the airstrike, which caused civilians no harm, Gen. Zadran said, adding more details of the incident were not immediately available.
