KUNDUZ CITY (PAN organisations.

The three-day exhibition, titled “civil society helps people improve their lives”, is being attended by civil society activists and media people.

The exhibition had been supported by Empowerment Centre for Women (ECW), which had been active in the province to build women’s capacity.

Habibullah Dost, the ECW deputy head, told Pajhwok Afghan News the exhibition was aimed at creating awareness among people about volunteers and their humanitarian services.

At least 20 photographs of day-to-day activities of Zabihullah Mujaddedi, head of Afghanistan Cultural Foundation and Communication, 40 photographs of a 13-year-old child labourer and a female tailor are on display.

Makhdoom Abdul Salam, an expert in cultural activities said that the pictures on display had an effective message for visitors.

Abdul Ghafoor Hotak, chief of information and cultural directorate said: “People of our province are competent and they achieved successes in the fields of social, economic, political, cultural, military and education.”

He believed there was a need to exhibit photos regarding the great work done by the people of the province in areas such as culture, social and education to encourage others to contribute to the nation-building enterprise.
