One organiser Ghausuddin told Pajhwok Afghan News students of schools, colleges, religious scholars and common people took part in the event.
Copies of a book on religion, history and geography were distributed to all participants for study a week ahead of the competition, he said.
The objective behind the contest was the participants’ scientific knowledge and intellectual growth, the organiser added. About 250 prizes are being considered for winners.
One of the participants, Farhad, believed holding such competitions could improve youth’s abilities and talent. He demanded more such events should be held to encourage youth into positive pursuits.
