Opp party urges immediate signing of BSA

KABUL and the United States, calling for the immediate signing of the deal.

In a policy statement, the opposition party welcomed the Loya Jirga’s decision regarding the agreement and announced support for the accord on a future US military presence in the country.

“We believe the Loya Jirga has taken the right decision that reflects a strong dose of realism and political maturity of participants,” the statement added.

The Right and Justice Party said: “Given the sensitive current political situation in the country, the BSA should be signed as soon as possible for the sake of clarity about the nation’s future.”

The BSA had to be signed based on Afghanistan’s needs and the jirga was supposed to call for strengthening friendship and cooperation between Afghanistan and America, it continued.
