SHIBERGHAN (PAN): German Counsel General Karl Lieberman based in northern Balkh province on Monday paid a visit to the gas fields in Shiberghan, the capital of Jawzjan province, indicating his country’s willingness for investment.
Governor Murad Quenili told Pajhwok Afghan News the German diplomat was accompanied by delegation of experts from his country. They visited the Jaraq Doq gas fields to assess the deposits and explore investment opportunities, the governor said.
The governor said Germany had an effective role in Jawzjan’s development projects, including the development of gas and oil fields.
He said the situation in Jawzjan had improved and reasonable opportunities had been provided to investors.
He said the German envoy told him his country was willing to invest in development projects in Jawzjan and promised his country would decide on future investment plans.
