PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Three suspected persons were detained by police over charges of robbery from a private Azizi bank and currency exchange market in central Logar province on Tuesday, an official said.

The detainees were living in a rented house behind Aziz Bank and currency exchange market.

 The suspects were striving to steal money from the two places by digging an underground tunnel, deputy police chief, Col. Abdul Wali Tofan Taraki, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

 Taraki said the detained suspects were being investigated, with police recovered various ground digging tolls from their possession.

 Habibullah, a shopkeeper said security forces surrounded a house close to his shop early in the morning and took the three suspects with them.
