Three public order police were killed when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in the Shahbaz Khan area on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, the governor’s spokesman on Saturday morning, Shafiq Nang, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

In central Helmand province, 30 kilograms of drugs were seized by police in Khanshin district on Friday, said a border police official, Lt. Col. Abdul Ahmad Ahmadi. One suspect was arrested in connection with the drugs.
